BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A call line has been set up for those in Brown County to report damage and additional needs after Wednesday’s storms.
County officials say the public can call 2-1-1 at any time 24/7. United Way volunteers who support this type of needs assessment staff the line.
County officials recommend those with damage to document it and take pictures to help with insurance needs. Most homeowner’s insurance policies do not usually cover flooding. Flood insurance is separate and would have had to be purchased ahead of time. For water backups inside the house, a policy specific to sewer backup would need to be in place. It’s recommended homeowners check with their insurance companies for more information.
