DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — 26-year-old Jason Villa of Buena Park, California was arrested Tuesday in connection with an investigation into the online sexual exploitation of a Door County minor.
The investigation began after police received information about suspected inappropriate online messages and sexually exploitative conduct involving a Door County juvenile.
Special Agents from the Department of Homeland Security and local law enforcement from Orange County, California took Villa into custody in California.
Villa has been charged with the following:
- Nine felony counts of Child Sexual Exploitation
- Nine felony counts of Exposing a Child to Harmful Descriptions
- Nine felony counts of Exposing Genitals, Pubic Area, or Intimate Parts
Villa is being held at the Orange County Jail while awaiting extradition to Door County for criminal proceedings.
