(UW ATHLETICS) – After a five-point weekend against Minnesota State, Rosalie Tremblay earned WCHA Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Tremblay had four goals and one assist during Saturday’s game against the Mavericks, earning her first NCAA career hat-trick.
This was Tremblay’s first series back after her time at Canada’s National Women’s Team Training Camp where she garnered an assist during an intersquad game.
The Sherbrooke, Quebec, native has nine points so far in her freshman season as a Badger, with at least two in every series she’s played in. Tremblay currently ranks second among rookies in the WCHA in points, only behind teammate Nela Lopušanová.
She had a goal and an assist in her opening time on ice against St. Lawrence on Sept. 26. The freshman continued her streak with two points against Boston University on Oct. 1, her first time playing at LaBahn Arena.
After the bye week, Tremblay and the Badgers will return to play at St. Cloud State on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31.
