(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) – On Thursday morning, the Horizon League released the full conference schedule for the 2026-27 season. Coinciding with that release, the Green Bay men’s basketball team has announced the full schedule, including non-conference games in 2026-27. GB will play 33 total games, including 20 Horizon League games and 11 home games.
The Phoenix will play three exhibition games before the official start of the season, hosting Wisconsin on October 15 and Marquette on Oct. 19 at the Resch Center. All other Phoenix home games will be played at the Kress Center on the campus of Green Bay. The final exhibition of the season will be against Illinois State on Oct. 24.
Green Bay then opens the regular season at home against Lawrence University on Nov. 2 before hitting the road to take on Cincinnati on Nov. 5. Following the Phoenix will head to St. Thomas on Nov. 8 and Northern Iowa on Nov. 10.
The Green & White will host its regular season home opener against Viterbo on Nov. 13 before hitting the road for a trip in the Sunshine State, taking on West Florida on Nov. 17 and Florida State on Nov. 20.
GB will close out its early nonconference stretch with a visit to UMKC on Nov. 24 before opening Horizon League play at home against Northern Illinois on Dec. 3 and Wright State on Dec. 5. Green Bay concludes its non-conference schedule with three games away from Green Bay in December – at Bradley and North Dakota – before taking on South Dakota St. at the Sanford Pentagon on Dec. 21. The Phoenix will then turn to Horizon League play for the rest of the season, starting at Oakland on Dec. 30 and Detroit Mercy on January 3. HL home play returns on Jan. 7 when GB hosts Northern Kentucky, followed by Purdue Fort Wayne on Jan. 9 and Youngstown State on Jan. 14.
The Horizon League slate will continue through January into February. The Phoenix will wrap up the regular season, and Horizon League play on Feb. 27 at Robert Morris.

WOMEN
The Horizon League released the full 2026-27 women’s basketball conference schedule, completing the full Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball schedule for the upcoming season. GB will play 20 conference games, hosting ten of them.
Green Bay’s league slate will start by splitting some non-conference contests, playing on the road at Robert Morris on December 3, followed by Youngstown State on Dec. 5. The Phoenix then returns to non-conference play before the full HL slate resumes with the Phoenix home opener on New Year’s Eve against Cleveland State.
Horizon League play will continue through the new year, concluding on February 27 when GB will close out the regular season against Northern Kentucky at home.
Green Bay will host the Horizon League’s newest team, Northern Illinois, on January 31. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since Nov. 8, 2013. The all-time series record between the two teams is 13-13.
