(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers got a strong 6 innings from Jacob Misiorowski in a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday night in Los Angeles.
Misiorowski allowed 1 run on 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6 over 6 innings to get the win and improve to 12-5 overall. Misiorowski lowered his ERA to 1.75.
The most scintillating moment in the game was in the bottom of the fifth inning when, after the Dodgers had loaded the bases with 1 out, Misiorowski struck out both Shohei Ohtani and Freddy Freeman to end the threat.
Antonio Senzatela pitched a scoreless seventh inning with Aaron Ashby pitching the final 2 innings to get his first save of the season.
The Brewers took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a 2-run home run by Joey Ortiz.
The Dodgers made it 2-1 in the third on Ohtani’s triple to right.
William Contreras wrapped up the scoring with a 2-run home run in the fourth inning.
Both of the Brewers’ home runs came off of LA starting pitcher Justin Wrobleski who fell to 11-5 with the loss.
With the victory, the Brewers took a 4-game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central. (The Cubs lost to St. Louis 3-0).
The Brewers who are 76-48 have a 2-game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers for the best record in the National League. Atlanta is 2 1/2 games behind the Brewers with a 73-50 record.
The Brewers and Dodgers wrap up the series Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles with Logan Henderson who is 6-2 with a 2.88 ERA going up against the Dodgers’ Tarik Skubal who is 7-6 with a 2.93 ERA.

Friday’s game
Yoshinobu Yamamoto held the Brewers to 1 run and 4 hits over the 6 innings to pitch Los Angeles to a 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.
Robert Gasser started and took the loss for Milwaukee, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits and 1 walk over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out 7.
The Brewers got their only run in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Joey Ortiz that scored Luis Lara.
The Dodgers’ runs came in the first inning on a run-scoring single by Mookie Betts, in the fifth inning on a solo home run by Andy Pages and in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Tommy Edman.
