(LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers get set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the pre-season opener for both teams on Thursday.
How ready will the Packers be?
For starters, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that they are thin at tight end.
And they are thin in the offensive line.
LaFleur saidthat he plans to get all of his team’s roster into the action for, at least, a few snaps during the preseason.
LaFleur says his experience has shown him the team will play better earlier in the season if the players have seen some action.
He hasn’t determined the number of snaps.
They likely won’t play in the final preseason games against the Arizona Cardinals because so much work will be done during joint practices.
Melton back on offense: After spending last season at cornerback, Bo Melton is back at wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers.
Melton talked about his chemistry with Jordan Love in camp.
Melton compared this year to last year.
The Packers and Steelers kick off Thursday night at 6.
