(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Wisconsin Badgers are expected to be one of the bigger turnaround teams this fall.
According to 247sports.com, the Badgers are expected to rebound from 2025’s 4-win season with 7 wins this year.
The site also states that this will be in part because of a considerably easier schedule with no Indiana, Ohio State or Oregon on the schedule.
Cody Nagel also writes in the story that if the Badgers don’t turn it around, it could mean the end of Luke Fickell in Madison.
Badgers defensive lineman leaves team: Depth on the defensive line took a hit when sophomore Torin Pettaway left the team last week.
Pettaway was a three-star recruit from Middleton.
The reason for his departure hasn’t been revealed but it was the player’s choice.
Badgers Extra reports that Pettaway didn’t get any snaps on defense as a freshman and that wasn’t expected to change in 2026.
He was still in the development phase of his college career.
