(MILWAUKEE BUCKS) – The Milwaukee Bucks have re-signed guard Gary Trent Jr.
Trent Jr. (6-4, 201 pounds) has played in 139 games over two seasons with Milwaukee, averaging 9.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 23.5 minutes per game while shooting 41.2% from the field and 39.1% from three. Since joining the Bucks ahead of the 2024-25 season, Trent Jr. has made 229 threes off the bench, the most of any Bucks player and the fifth-most in the NBA in that span, and he owns the franchise record for the most threes made as a reserve in a single season after totaling 163 in the 2024-25 campaign. The Columbus, Ohio, native has also seen action in five postseason games with Milwaukee, where he averaged 18.8 points, 2.6 steals, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 34.2 minutes per game while shooting 51.6% from the field and 50.0% from three.
Originally selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 37th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Trent Jr. has appeared in 480 career games (231 starts) with Portland, Toronto and Milwaukee, and he holds career averages of 13.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game. The Duke product is also a career 42.0% shooter from the field with a 38.7% mark from behind the arc.
