OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Facebook page listing a robotics event at the Oshkosh Public Library is fake, the library says.
Library officials warn in their own Facebook post that the page collects personal information from those interested in attending and may attempt to sell a subscription service.
“This appears to be a scam targeting libraries in our area,” the library wrote.
Library officials say they have reported the page to Facebook and are trying to have it removed.
