(LEARFIELD/WNFL) – For the first time this season, the Milwaukee Brewers are ranked second among all Major League Baseball teams.
The Dodgers are still at the top, but recent struggles by the Braves dropped them down a notch.
The Brewers open a home series against the Cubs with Jacob Misiorowski getting the start.
Misiorowski is 8-3 with a 1.45 ERA.
The Chicago Cubs who are coming off a sweep of the New York Mets and are 44-37 will counter with Colin Rea who is 5-5 with a 4.99 ERA.
At 49-and-29, Milwaukee is 20 games over .500 for the first time.
Both teams are 7-3 in their last 10 games.
The Brewers are 37-17 against teams with a .500 or better record while the Cubs are 22-22.
The Brewers are 25-15 at home while the Cubs are 21-20 on the road.
