BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man arrested over the weekend for operating while intoxicated and other offenses was charged Monday.
David Williquette, 68, of De Pere, faces four counts: fourth OWI offense, operating a firearm while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of THC. Court records show he was released on a $3,500 cash bond following an initial appearance.
Williquette was taken into custody around 10:30 p.m. Friday after he was pulled over by a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper in Brown County, on I-41 southbound near County Highway S. According to a news release, the trooper observed Williquette’s pickup truck deviating from its lane.
During the traffic stop, the trooper allegedly observed signs of impairment and conducted standardized field sobriety testing. Williquette was subsequently arrested on the four charges.
