(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored the first eight runs of the game on the way to a 9-3 win over the Chicago Cubs Monday night.
Milwaukee doesn’t hit many home runs, but it got long balls from Christian Yelich and Jake Bauers at Wrigley Field.
Bauers drove in four runs.
Rookie Shane Drohan got the win in relief by throwing four-and-a-third scoreless innings in relief of Brandon Sproat.
Brewers manager Pat Murphysaid that there were a lot of contributions.
Murphy was pleased with the performance at the plate.
He was also happy with the pitching.
Murphy said that using Sproat and Drohan was the pitching plan going into the game.
Jacob Misiorowski starts Tuesday’s game against the Cubs. His mound opponent will be Ben Brown.
