(LEARFIELD) – Brice Turang’s two-run homer in the ninth inning of Monday 6-3 Brewers loss to the St. Louis Cardinals made the final score look closer than the game actually was.
Starter and loser Chad Patrick was knocked out in the fourth inning after giving up four runs.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about Patrick’s rough start.
Outfielder Jackson Chourio returned to action with a 4-for-4 performance while Turang finished with 3 hits.
Murphy talked about Chourio’s first game back.
Murphy said that it’s great to have both Chourio and Andrew Vaughn back.
Murphy said that he likes his team.
Milwaukee will try to snap a brief two-game losing streak behind rookie starter Brandon Sproat against the Cardinals Tuesday night.
Andre Pallante will start for St. Louis. He has an ERA of 3.73 with a 3-2 record.
