TOWN OF ELLINGTON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Alcohol and speed were factors in a two-vehicle Outagamie County crash Wednesday night.
Around 6 p.m., the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a collision on CTY TK S near Cummings Road in the town of Ellington.
Preliminary investigation determined a truck towing a boat was traveling eastbound on CTY TK S when the driver lost control and crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. That truck struck the driver’s side of a truck towing a dual-axle trailer that was traveling westbound on CTY TK S.
Driving the striking driver was a 32-year-old Hortonville man. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the truck that was hit, a 21-year-old Hortonville man, was not injured.
It is believed alcohol and speed were a factor in the crash.
