GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A kitchen fire caused about $1,000 worth of damage to a Green Bay home Sunday.
Around 8:14 p.m., crews were called to the lower unit of a two-story home at 1109 Klaus Street.
When crews arrived, they saw light smoke visible from the home. All occupants had evacuated safely.
A small fire involving kitchen materials was located in a corner of the room and was quickly extinguished using a water can.
No fire spread was found, and air quality monitoring showed no hazardous levels of carbon monoxide or hydrogen cyanide.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No one was hurt.
One adult and three children were displaced for the night. The American Red Cross was contacted to provide temporary assistance.
