Andrew Clark (Winnebago County Sheriff's Office)
OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Andrew Clark’s appeal of his conviction for killing his wife and a witness to her murder was denied by an appeals court.
Clark, 57, shot and killed his wife, Melissa Clark, and another man, Lavar Wallace, at an Omro home on Oct. 21, 2020. A jury convicted him of two counts of first-degree intentional homicide. He is serving back-to-back life sentences.
Clark raised several issues on appeal, but in a ruling issued Wednesday, the court rejected all of them.
“Suffice it to say that, having reviewed the complete appellate record including all of the trial evidence presented, none of Clark’s dozen or so arguments appear to have any non-frivolous basis,” the ruling states. “The evidence presented at trial, including that chronicled above, was more than sufficient to convict Clark of the double homicide and attempted mutilation of a corpse.”
Clark is currently housed at the Wisconsin Secure Program Facility in Boscobel, state records show.
