After a meddling regular season, the Wisconsin Badgers women’s basketball team is saving their best for last. Hosting their first post-season tournament game in 13 years, Wisconsin rolled past Illinois State 86-61 at the Kohl Center Thursday night to reach the round of 8 in WNIT. Wisconsin jumped on the Redbirds (22-11) in the first quarter, racing out to a 27-17 lead and were never threatened. Sophomore Sareh Williams led the way with 18 points. Wisconsin improved to 15-16 on the year and will learn who they play Monday night in the third round after the remaining WNIT games are played through the weekend.
