(LEARFIELD) – Brice Turang drove in four runs as the Brewers put a dozen on the board at Detroit Tuesday night.
Milwaukee bats produced 16 hits in a 12-4 victory over the Tigers.
The Brewers broke the game open, scoring 7 runs in the eighth inning which started with back-to-back triples.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about that.
Murphy said that the Brewers have an offense that can snowball on teams.
Grant Anderson earned the victory in relief, and David Hamilton went 4-for-5.
Murphy also talked about Hamilton starting at shortstop and getting 4 hits.
Chad Patrick starts the second game of the series tonight.
The Tigers will counter with Casey Mize.
