(LEARFIELD) – The Packers might be looking to bolster the secondary as a free agent cornerback visited the team Thursday.
Asante Samuel Jr, who last played for the Los Angeles Charges, visited the Packers so they could evaluate spinal surgery he had in the offseason.
Samuel has reportedly gotten the okay from his doctors to resume playing after the fusion surgery.
He was drafted by the Chargers in 2021, started 43 games in his first three seasons, totaling six picks and thirty five passes broken up.
The Packers try to get back into the win column Monday when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
