APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An attached garage in Appleton sustained more than $200,000 in damage during a fire Tuesday.
Firefighters responded to the 2100 block of East Esther Street shortly after 2 p.m. When crews arrived on scene, they found a fully-engulfed garage attached to a house.
The blaze was brought under control within 10 minutes. Officials are still working to determine the cause.
The Appleton Fire Department estimates damage to the garage and its contents is over $200,000.
Working smoke alarms were inside the home.
