(LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers have made some roster moves to create openings for players returning from injuries.
The release of offensive lineman Brant Banks on Monday creates two openings.
Wide receiver Christian Watson is expected to return to practice this week.
Others who could be activated soon include running back MarShawn Lloyd, offensive lineman John Williams, and defensive end Collin Oliver.
Acme Packing Company reports all of those players could suit up for the game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Getting healthy: Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said at his meeting with the media on Tuesday that the goal this week during the bye week is to get healthy.
LaFleur also talked about the performance of Romeo Doubs so far this season. LaFleur said that he’s done everything the right way.
LaFleur also added this about Doubs.
Takeaways: The Packers have been emphasizing that the defense needs to create takeaways. Yet, during the first 4 games, the team has only 2 – both interceptions. With all that emphasize, LaFleur was asked how that is possible.
He said that better days are coming for that.
