(LEARFIELD) – The Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey team opens its season this weekend with games Friday and Saturday at Bemidji State.
Badgers coach Mark Johnson said that they’re off to a good start prior to games.
Johnson talked aobut how they’re in a Olympic year and a number of his players are going to be in and out later in the season and how they will handle that.
The Badgers won the NCAA title last year and are the preseason #1 this year. They’ve been through this befor. How does he keep the players hungry?

The Journal Sentinel reports that 93 percent of season ticket holders have renewed despite price increases.
UW Deputy Athletic Director Mitchell Pinta tells the newspaper that the program hadn’t increased prices since 2008.
