(LEARFIELD) – Centerfielder Blake Perkins tripled and drove in a career-high five runs in Wednesday night’s 9-2 Brewers victory over the Los Angeles Angels at American Family Field in MIlwaukee.
Sal Frelick had a three-run homer, and Brandon Woodruff earned the pitching victory with five solid innings.
Perkins said that a game like this one gives him confidence.
He explained how he has been able to hit the reset button.
Woodruff, meanwhile, whoe improved to 7-2 while allowing 2 hits, no runs and no walks while striking out 9 said that he’s been able to move the ball around.
Woodruff said that he’s hoping to help the Brewers make a long run.
Milwaukee’s magic number is six with 10 games left.
The Brewers go for the sweep tonight behind starting pitcher Quinn Priester.
