(247NEWSSOURCE) – The Wisconsin football team could have its quarterback back this week.
Badgers coach Luke Fickell said Monday that Billy Edwards Jr. is “day-to-day” ahead of Saturday’s conference opener against Maryland.
Edwards has not played since suffering a knee sprain against Miami Ohio in the season opener.
Edwards threw for 2,881 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions with the Terrapins last season before joining Wisconsin.
When will he be back? Badgers defensive back Nyzier Fourqurean will miss at least one more game.
The NCAA asked the court to let it take another deposition in the case.
Its attorneys have until this Friday to submit a reply.
Fourqurean is asking the judge for an injunction that would let him play.
The main case has been delayed until February so there will be no final decision until after the season.
