(LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers’ defense was dominant in the team’s final preseason game.
Defenders forced three fumbles and sacked the Seattle quarterback five times in a 20-7 victory.
The Seahawks were playing without their starters while Green Bay used regulars for most of the first period.
Backup quarterback Malik Willis capped a 96-yard drive on 14 plays by hitting Romeo Doubs in the end zone for a first-period score.
Taylor Elgsma connected with Will Sheppard on a short scoring pass in the second.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur had a lot of questions fired at him after the game.
He talked about it being roster cutting time.
He also talked about the play of linebacker Tyron Hopper.
LaFluer said the team has a lot of confidence in Willis.

He said that they expect Matthew Golden to help them right away.
The Packers open the 2025 season at home September 7th against the Detroit Lions.
