(LEAFIELD/WNFL) – The Green Bay Packers finished last season with the defense playing well.
Packers safety Evan Williams talked about what the defense needs to do as a whole to improve over last season.
What does he hope to improve upon most at safety?
And Williams talked about whether the Packers defense can play in September like they did this past December and January.
- After a day off on Saturday, Green Bay will hold the first of five public practices in six days on Sunday (July 27-29, 31 and Aug. 1).
- The Packers will host Family Night at Lambeau Field on Saturday, Aug. 2, and follow with three straight public practices (Aug. 5-7).
- Of the 89 players on Green Bay’s roster, 40 of them (44.9 percent) were draft picks of the Packers.
- Green Bay has 10 players that were drafted in the first round and eight were selected by the Packers.
- Green Bay has 36 players on the roster that began their careers as undrafted free agents.
- 57.3 percent of the players (51 of 89) on Green Bay’s roster entered the league as a sixth-round or seventhround pick or as an undrafted player
