(GREEN BAY PACKERS) – The Green Bay Packers signed wide receiver Will Sheppard and kicker Mark McNamee. The moves were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Sheppard (6-3, 196), a rookie, played in 55 games at Vanderbilt (2020-23) and Colorado (2024). He finished with 200 receptions for 2,688 yards (13.4 avg.) and 27 touchdowns. Sheppard also returned 18 punts for 131 yards (7.3 avg.). In 2022, he registered career highs in receptions (60), receiving yards (776) and receiving TDs (nine), earning second-team All-Southeastern Conference honors from The Associated Press and third-team honors from Phil Steele’s College Football. Sheppard will wear No. 82 for the Packers.
McNamee (6-4, 208), a rookie, joins the Packers as part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program. The Ireland native comes to Green Bay after spending the last month with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. McNamee participated in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. He was a goalkeeper in Gaelic football for Ballyboden St Endas in Dublin, Ireland. McNamee will wear No. 41 for the Packers.
Tbe training camp rundown: Packers Training Camp, presented by Emplify Health by Bellin, begins on Wednesday, July 23, and fans are invited to join the team at practice and enjoy a variety of activities to celebrate the return of football.
Ahead of the first practice at 10:30 a.m. on July 23, the Packers and American Family Insurance will open DreamDrive, returning for its 12th year. Kids are invited to take part in the storied bike tradition by bringing their bikes to each open practice day and offering Packers players a ride from Lambeau Field to Ray Nitschke Field.
The first week of Training Camp will include activities for families and fans to enjoy, including the annual Emplify Health Bike Rodeo with the De Pere Police Department from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 23. The event will feature free bike helmet fittings, a bike helmet giveaway and a bike safety course designed to help children learn the rules of the road. The event will be held in the Blue Lot, the parking lot just east of Ray Nitschke Field.
On Sunday, July 27, families are invited to join the Packers and Bellin Health for the NFL’s Back Together Weekend initiative by enjoying the Emplify Health Training Camp Village, a fun- and health-focused event to be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Activities will take place in the Blue Lot to the east of Ray Nitschke Field. Attendees will enjoy inflatables, games and prizes and several Packers alumni will sign autographs at the event
Each day at Training Camp, practice attendees can enjoy games, giveaway items and displays in the Blue Lot, with face painting and other kid-favorite activities, as well as performances from jugglers, magicians and balloon artists. Weekday practices will each feature a variety of local nonprofit organizations as part of the Nonprofit of the Day program to connect nonprofits and community members.

The Johnsonville Tailgate Village will be open for food and beverages during Training Camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on most practice days but will close at 1 p.m. on July 28 and open at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 21. The JTV will be closed on July 24, but the Atrium Eateries will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., instead. A variety of local food trucks serving treats, coffee drinks and snacks will also be set up in the Blue Lot east of Ray Nitschke Field on each open practice day. Packers Family Night, presented by Emplify Health by Bellin, will take place on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Lambeau Field. The evening remains family-focused and will feature a game-like atmosphere, including a thunderstick giveaway courtesy of Emplify Health by Bellin, King’s Hawaiian, Sargento, CareSource and Meijer, use of the video boards featuring promotions by Bernatello’s Foods, UWGB and other partners, gameday music and a fireworks show presented by Ticketmaster at the end of the night. Also featured will be “Jerseys Off Our Backs” presented by TDS Telecom, the popular promotion with Packers jerseys – all of which will have been worn by Packers players during practice – to be given away in a random drawing. The Packers will host a joint training camp practice with the Seattle Seahawks on Aug. 21 before facing the Seahawks at Lambeau Field on Aug. 23 at 3 p.m. Further info about this practice will be announced soon.
