ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police are investigating a shooting in Ashwaubenon that sent a 23-year-old man to the hospital.
It happened around 5 a.m. Friday in the 2000 block of Argonne Street, near Argonne Park.
Authorities learned about the incident after the 23-year-old victim went to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound around 5:30 a.m.
The victim is in stable condition.
Police say a disturbance between the victim and another individual happened on the street near Argonne Park and during the altercation, a firearm was brandished and the victim was shot by the suspect.
Ashwaubenon Public Safety say this was not a random act of violence, as the victim and suspect are known to each other. While no arrests have been made, police say there is no ongoing threat to the community.
