(WNFL) – Freddy Peralta allowed 1 run and 4 hits while striking out 6 over 6 innings to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Friday.
The Brewers went up 1-0 in the fourth inning when Wilson Contreras doubled home Sal Frelick.
After St. Louis tied the game in the fifth inning on a Nelson Arenado double, Contreras snapped the tie with a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning that scored Frelick.
The Brewers added the winning run in the seventh inning on a Christian Yelich groundball that scored Jackson Chourio.
Trevor McGill earned his 14th save of the season for Milwaukee, despite giving up a run in the ninth inning.
Erik Fedde took the loss for St. Louis.
The two teams meet in the third game of the series this afternoon with the pre-game at 2:35 and first pitch at 3:1o on 97.5 and 1360 WTAQ.
