(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers completed a sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies with a 5-2 come-from-behind victory Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia.
Milwaukee was down when Jake Bauers hit a two-out, two-run double in the seventh.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said the team show resiliency by battling back despite a slow start on the mound from starter Jose Quintana.
Murphy said that they got contributions from top to bottom.
Murphy talked about the importance pulling off the 3-game sweep.
The Brewers’ winning streak is seven games in a row, and they are just five-and-a-half games behind the Chicagio Cubs.
Philadelphia has lost four straight.
Aaron Civale gets the start tonight for Milwaukee when the Brewers travel to Cincinnati to face the Reds.
Yelich hand will be okay: Christian Yelich left Sunday’s game early after getting hit in the hand by a pitch from Ranger Suarez.
Murphy said that the X-rays were negative.
