(GREEN BAY PACKERS) – The Green Bay Packers signed cornerback Gregory Junior and cornerback Kaleb Hayes. The moves were announced Wednesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Junior (6-0, 203), a second-year player out of Ouachita Baptist University, was originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round (No. 197 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
He played in 10 games for the Jaguars in 2022-23, recording 17 tackles (11 solo), two tackles for a loss and a pass defensed.
After being released by Jacksonville during the 2024 training camp, Junior spent time on the practice squads of the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.
He played in 44 games at OBU (2017-21), totaling 129 tackles (91 solo), 17 passes defensed, five tackles for loss and an interception. Junior was the first-ever draft pick in the history of the school. He will wear No. 38 for the Packers.
