(LEARFIELD) CHICAGO – An 8-0 loss Thursday afternoon ended the Milwaukee Brewers’ hopes for a series sweep on the road in Chicago.
The Chicago White Sox handed Milwaukee its first shutout loss of the season.
Chad Patrick took the defeat, his third straight.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about the job Patrick did.
The Brewers loaded the bases in the top of the first, but a Rhys Hopkins possibly grand slam was caught by Luis Robert Jr.
The Brewers were end up with only 2 hits as Murphy pointed out.
The loss leaves the Brewers hovering around the .500 mark.
Christian Yelich said that it’s too early to tell how the season will go from a personal and a team standpoint.
