(247NEWSSOURCE) – Logan Webb shined on the mound while leading the San Francisco Giants to a 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers in San Francisco.
Webb earned the win and moved to 3-and-1 after tossing six strikeouts across six-and-a-third shutout innings.
Wilmer Flores led the way at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI.
Camilo Doval notched his fourth save as the Giants improved to 16-and-9.
Brice Turang led Milwaukee with two RBI on three hits.
Freddy Peralta was charged with the loss as the Brewers dropped to 13-and-12.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that his squad is still trying to form an identity as a team.
He also said that Peralta had a tough time getting out of his sixth inning jam with a pitch count already sitting at 96.
Murphy said that Turang continues to shine defensively despite playing with a sore shoulder.
The Brewers and Giants will play the final game of the series this afternoon. It’s 2:10 pre-game and 2:45 first pitch on 1440 and 101.9 WNFL.
