(247NEWSSOURCE) – The Milwaukee Bucks are back on the hardwood tonight at FiServ Forum in Milwaukee.
The team tips off against Trey Murphy and the Pelicans at 7 p.m. with the pre-game beginning at 6:30 on 1440 and 101.9 WNFL.
Milwaukee is coming off a tough win over the Timberwolves where they rallied from 24-points down in the fourth quarter to pick up the win on Tuesday.
Milwaukee at 45-34 leads Detroit by two games for fifth place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference and trail Indiana by 3 games for fourth place.
If the Bucks were tofalter and finish in sixth place, they would face the New York Knicks in an NBA first-round playoff matchup while a fifth- or fourth-place finish means the Bucks would play the Indiana Pacers. A fifth-place finish by the Bucks would give Indiana the home-court advantage while a fourth-place finish would give the Bucks the home-court advantage in the series.
After tonight’s the game against New Orleans, the Bucks will have games remaining against Detroit on Friday and Sunday.
Rollins stepping up: One of the bench players helping the Bucks survive the absence of Damian Lillard is third-year point guard Ryan Rollins.
The team was looking for youth, athleticism, and energy, and he has given it.
During the current five-game winning streak, Rollins has averaged 11 points a game, hitting 60 percent of his 3-point attempts, and dishing out four-point-four assists per game.
BehindTheBuckPass-dot-com reports that he’s giving the team the energy and hustle it needs on defense.
