(LEARFIELD) GREEN BAY – Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has made a pair of important additions to his coaching staff.
DeMarcus Covington will lead the defensive line and Sean Mannion will be promoted to quarterbacks coach.
Covington was the defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots last season.
Mannion has served in Green Bay as an offensive assistant coach and LaFleur says he has already developed a strong relationship with quarterbacks Jordan Love and Malik Willis.
Campanile goes south: The Jaguars have found their next defensive coordinator.
Jacksonville has hired Anthony Campanile to the position.
Campanile was with the Green Bay Packers this season as their defensive run-game coordinator and linebackers coach.
The Packers were seventh in run defense this season, giving up 99.35 yards per game.
Green Bay allowed the sixth-fewest points per game and fifth-fewest yards per game.
The 42-year-old Campanile was with the Miami Dolphins as their linebackers coach from 2020-to-2023.
