(LEARFIELD) – John Tonje scored 24 points and John Blackwell added 23 but the #18 Wisconsin Badgers didn’t get enough defensive stops in the second half to prevent a Big Ten road loss, 85-83 to UCLAd in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday.
The Badgers shot 51% from the field, 50% from 3-point range and 85% at the free throw line but lost a close one.
Badgers coach Greg Gard said that they didn’t hold up defensively.
Gard said that UCLA responded to Wisconsin’s second-half push.
