(WTAQ-WLUK) — Chuck Lane, the former director of public relations for the Packers under Vince Lombardi, has died at the age of 82.
The Green Bay Packers confirmed the death on Sunday.
According to Cliff Christl, the Packers historian, Lane was hired in 1966 by Vince Lombardi at the age of 23 to become the Packer’s publicity director.
Lane worked in the role until 1980, and was later involved in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame Association.
After working with the Packers, Lane remained a member of the Green Bay community.
