(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) GREEN BAY, Wis. – A hot start for the Green Bay men’s basketball team wasn’t enough, as the Robert Morris Colonials used a 28-0 run out of the halftime break to turn the tide of the game and take it 89-67. The Phoenix led by as much as 17 in the first half.
The Phoenix (2-17, 0-8) had two players score in double figures, led by Marcus Hall, who finished with 17 points.
The Colonials were led by big performances from Amarion Dickerson and Kam Woods. Dickerson finished the night with 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting while Woods had 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After jumping out to a 16-10 advantage, Green Bay went on a 9-0 run with 14:24 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Hall, to increase its lead to 27-10, the largest of the game. Robert Morris responded with a 9-0 run of their own capped off by a Ryan Prather Jr. three pointer at 7:01 to get back into the game and cut the GB lead to 32-25. The two teams traded baskets for the remainder of the half, with the Phoenix heading into the break with a 45-40 lead.
The aforementioned 28-0 run gave the Colonials a 68-45 lead before Green Bay got on the board in the second half. The visitors cruised to victory the rest of the way, securing the 89-67 win.
GAME NOTES
» The Phoenix shot well from three point range, knocking down eight of 18 long-range attempts.
» Green Bay was out rebounded 29-21.
» RMU shot 53.7 percent from the field and 52.2 percent from three.

The Phoenix will be back in action this Sunday when they host the Youngstown State Penguins at noon. Sunday is Alumni Day at the Resch Center. Following, GB will host IU Indy on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m.
