(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – When the Green Bay Packers play the Detroit Lions on Thursday, Packers quarterback Jordan Love will have something he didn’t have when the two teams met the first time – all five of this starting lineup.
Love talked about how that will make a difference from back on the loss against the Lions on November 3.
Love also talked about that loss to the Lions.
And now that he is feeling healthy, Love talked about how much more can he do now in terms of scheme than when he was dealing with knee & groin injuries.
Love also addressed areas where they’ve improved in since first meeting.
Throw the flag: Packers defensive co-ordinator Jeff Hafley spoke with the media on Monday about something that has been plaguing the Packers defense – penalty flags.
The Packers lead the league in offsides, neutral zone infractions and encroachment penalties.
Hafley added more about that problem.
He said they have to be better in that area of the game.
Pro Bowl voting: Packers safety Xavier McKinney leads the NFC in fan voting for the Pro Bowl. He’s one of several Green Bay players with a chance to make the roster for the game. Jaire Alexander is the second-ranked cornerback and running back Josh Jacobs, center Josh Myers, edge rusher Rashan Gary, linebacker Quay Walker, punter Daniel Wehlan, and long-snapper Matt Orzech are all third at their positions. Fan voting continues through December 23rd, and then players and coaches vote on December 27th.
