BERLIN (Reuters) – Germany plans to spend 476.8 billion euros in 2024 and can take on around 39 billion in new debt, according to a budget draft seen by Reuters, in a budget which would still enable Germany to stay within its self-imposed brake on issuance.
The draft comes after the meeting of the German parliament’s budget committee, which concluded its deliberations on Thursday, according to three people familiar with the matter.
Germany’s lower house is scheduled to approve the 2024 budget on Feb. 2.
