ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An online auction for the former Shopko headquarters ended Thursday with a high bid of $8,250,000 — but the reserve price was not met, so it remains available.
Crexi listed the center, now called “The Arboretum,” with an initial asking price of $3.5 million. Multiple bids pushed the auction past the stated 2:20 p.m. end time.
Murray Wikol, president and CEO of ProVisions LLC, the current owner, says the reserve price was not met, so the property remains for sale. He would not specify what that price would be.
There was interest in buying the building from nearly three dozen prospective buyers, possible tenants for the building, and possible buyers for outlets, Wikol said, calling the process a success even though the reserve price wasn’t met.
The 33.4-acre property is across Holmgren Way to the east of Bay Park Square. The office building currently has two tenants, and the property could be divided into out lots.
The department store chain closed in 2019.
