(WNFL) – The WIAA and its conference realignment task force have been busy looking at applications from schools seeking relief from their current conferences.
Among the requested moves being considered are West De Pere from the Bay Conference to the Fox River Classic Conference, Fox Valley Lutheran from the Northeastern Conference to the Bay Conference and Winneconne from the East Central Conference to the Bay Conference.
This requests would apply to all sports but football.
It’s not a done deal yet. The Task Force will finalize and forward to the board of control after the Task Force meeting on Jan. 11. The Board of Control will then take a look at the proposals on March 5, 2024.
Here is the list of schools requesting relief.
Ashland, Berlin, Central Wisconsin Christian, Clinton, DeForest, Elk Mound, Fox Valley Lutheran, Fuller Collegiate Academy, Kettle Moraine Lutheran, Lincoln Academy, Merrill, Oak Creek, Osseo-Fairchild, Ripon, St. Augustine Prep, Sun Prairie East, Waukesha North, Waukesha South, West De Pere and Winneconne.
