LEDGEVIEW, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Ledgeview bike trail now has a bit of the cosmos on it.
Artist Kiba Freeman from Stevens Point created two murals on the East River Trail, both with outer space themes.
“I love painting space and exploring that idea of the great unknown, right?” said Freeman. “And, also, that any of these scenes that I’m painting could exist somewhere, and we just have not found them yet.”
Freeman was selected by the Ledgeview Beautification Committee, which has been working to promote public art throughout the community.
While these murals are about eight feet by 10 feet, Freeman says he creates spray painted murals in a variety of sizes and for a variety of purposes — outdoors, indoors, bedrooms, businesses and more.
A small portion of the trail will be closed through Monday morning to allow the project to dry completely.
