APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A house fire in Appleton caused an estimated $125,000 in damages.
The Appleton Fire Department was called to the scene on the 900 block of South Weimar Street on Saturday, around 6:50 p.m.
The initial 911 call reported smoke visible from outside the home. Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke coming from the single-story residence.
The fire was put out within 30 minutes.
One person was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The fire is currently under investigation. A cause has not been determined.
