BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Wisconsin State Patrol plans to use airplanes to monitor for traffic violations on interstate highways in three Northeast Wisconsin counties this week.
Monday, the State Patrol will be flying over I-43 in Brown County.
On Wednesday, planes will be flying over I-41 in Fond du Lac County.
On Saturday, the State Patrol will be flying over I-41 in Outagamie County.
The State Patrol says from the air, it’s easier to see vehicles speeding or bring driven aggressively.
The State Patrol also says it warns drivers in advance not because the goal is to catch people and write tickets, but to get drivers to follow rules of the road, keeping highways safe.
