Since the big three got reunited, the Milwaukee Bucks have been unbeatable. Milwaukee picked up their 9th straight win by getting past the Los Angeles Lakers 115-106 at the Staples Center Thursday night as the big three of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday accounted for 72 points. Granted the Lakers were without LeBron James, resting a sore foot after he became the NBA’s all-time scoring leader, passing Kareem Abdul Jabbar on Tuesday night but the Bucks have played plenty of games without Middleton and the Greek Freak at times this year. Antetokounmpo put up 38 points to ago along with 10 rebounds while Middleton added 22 and Holiday chipped in with 12. A 38-23 third quarter gave the Bucks breathing room. Dennis Schroeder led the Lakers with 25, Anthony Davis scored 23 as L.A. falls to 25-31 on the year. The Bucks matched their season long win streak, they opened the year with 9 consecutive wins. They now stand 37-18, the second best record in the NBA trailing only Eastern Conference leading Boston by one game. The Bucks will return to the Staples Center floor on Friday night to play the other home team tenant, the L.A. Clippers. Pre-game coverage begins at 9:00 PM with a 9:30 PM tip on 1440 AM, 101.9 FM WNFL.
