FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A kitchen fire caused damage to two apartments in Fond du Lac Wednesday night.
The Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue said it responded to a reported house fire on E. Johnson Street at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday.
Crews saw smoke and fire from outside a rear window of the lower apartment.

The apartment above had light smoke damage as well.
People were home at the time of the fire and were cooking on the stove when the fire broke out.
All residents were able to escape without injury. A dog in the upper apartment was rescued with no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
