NEENAH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Neenah firefighters are crediting working smoke detectors for saving lives in an early morning apartment fire.
Crews were called to a two-story building at 1316 Honeysuckle Lane just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
When they arrived, heavy smoke was showing from a second-story apartment.
Firefighters used a ladder to rescue the occupant of the apartment. The occupant’s pet dog and cat were also saved.
