MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) — In February of 2022, the process began to create Manitowoc’s new official Visitor Information Center. Now, the Visitor Information Center is a reality located at 824 S. 8th Street in downtown Manitowoc.
“This past year the City of Manitowoc brought tourism in house,” said Director of Tourism for Visit Manitowoc, Courtney Hansen. “We have been working out of City Hall until now, and we knew we wanted a front-facing visitor center in the heart of downtown.”
An opening celebration of the visitor information center is set for Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. The public is invited to come in for some treats, information, and to warm up during the Christmas parade.
Visit Manitowoc’s Visitor Information Center will be open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday-Friday during the winter season.
