OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Winnebago County sheriff’s officials have released video of a boat crash that sent seven people to the hospital.
The crash happened July 9 on the Fox River in Oshkosh.
The video shows a powerboat side-swiping a paddleboat with 43 passengers on board.
The powerboat’s owner, Jason Lindemann, was arrested four days later. He was released after posting a $10,000 cash bond.
No formal charges have been filed against Lindemann, however officials are recommending he be charged with 12 counts of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and 11 misdemeanor counts of failure to render aid after a boating accident.
Meanwhile, sheriff’s deputies say they have identified all 43 passengers of the On the Loos Cruises boat, as well as all seven passengers on the powerboat.
